Sci-fi indie 2D scroller

miniLAW: Ministry of Law is a sci-fi dystopian side scroller. Take on the role of a cybernetic police officer as he fights against hordes of criminals in this side scrolling 2D shooter with RPG elements.

Cinema inspiration

With classic sci-fi inspiration, pixel graphics and a synth heavy soundtrack, miniLAW: Ministry of Law first appears like a homage to classic action films like RoboCop and Blade Runner. This atmosphere is the strongest element of the game, set in a dark future of corporations and enhanced human-robot hybrids, while the gameplay almost takes a back seat. The simple 2D scroller gun fighting with an element of RPG levelling serves to push the story further along rather than becoming the main focus, which isn't a negative. Stripped down and bare, the difficulty and tension will appeal to fans of older games from the 8 and 16 bit eras. miniLAW: Ministry of Law isn't a particularly long or deep game but more of an immersive experience built around a setting.

Dark and gritty

miniLAW: Ministry of Law is an interesting indie title which has been somewhat overlooked. The dystopian surrounding and retro inspired graphics work well in creating a mood which could well prove to be make the game a classic for sci-fi film fans.
